I take it you're feeling better than you were earlier this week!
I'm counting on the race this weekend to kickstart my training schedule (again).
It's cheesesteak day here at the PPD. Geno's donates all of today's proceeds to the families of fallen officers, so the Chief here buys 100 cheesesteaks for the bureau. I'm eating grapes right now.
Thoughts on getting together this weekend? Breakfast somewhere up north? Back at my place?
What happened to breakfast at the Bob Evans in Oaks?? I was all for that!!
I can't make breakfast on Sunday morning. The firm has a box up at the Meadowlands for the Giants game so I will be leaving mid-morning to begin entertaining my clients.
I don't feel bad that you spent all that time in TX when you get to spend just about as much time at your company's box watching hockey, football, or baseball games!
I agree... and you aren't either a Giants or a Cowboys fan Chuck... grrr!! =)
I am indeed feeling better... the thought of running another marathon does not cause me to react violently as it did on Monday and Tuesday... =) I actually ran a whole 1/4 mile yesterday before working out with my trainer... it hurt a little, but nothing major... hopefully I won't have post traumatic stress at the run on Sunday... =)
Hehe... I'm up for anything!
Your right, I don't like either Giants or Cowboys, but my clients do. So on Sunday I will shell out around $8,000+ (of the total $20k plus bill), sit in hours of parking lot traffic and smootch the behinds of my clients in the hope that they continue to give me work. Around the mid 4th quarter, I will sneak out the back to avoid as much of the crowds as possible. As since it is a 2hr drive, I really won't be drinking either (even though I will have paid for all the beer I COULD drink). Thankfully, there is no home Eagles game that I will be missing...
The Maddens are up for meeting for a Sunday morning breakfast.
Just a quick note, I am headed out to run 6 miles.
I am such a slacker. I haven't even run since about a week before the wedding. My last treadmill workout was walking quickly at a 3.0 incline for 15 minutes. I really need to get back into shape!
I guess I'm the only one who drives toward the city for work. Traffic was a breeze this morning. Everyone must be going to the parade today!
Don't feel bad, Beth. I haven't run either and feel it too. This was supposed to be the week things changed as I hired an afterschool nanny. She started on Monday and had a Dr appointment on Monday evening. On Tuesday, she called to tell me that she had chickenpox and was heading to the hospital. Luckily, the kids have both had chickenpox shots and have no sign of them.
Hopefully NEXT week she comes back...
That stinks! How did she get chickenpox??
Hopefully next week I'll be back on track with my diet and exercise, too! One can hope.
Dave & Bernadette... you really should run the 10K Bridge run on Sunday... the more the merrier!! =)
OK, so we run the bridge then head up to Bob Evans at Oaks? Meet at about 11? Or 12?
Say yes, or propose alternates.
Unless Chuck invites us all along to help "entertain" his "clients."
Eating after our run is EXCELLENT motivation...=) Running on Sunday should be interesting... whoa!
Beth - What is your present email address? I will email you the wedding pictures. Bernadette and I enjoyed seeing everyone for brunch. Sorry you missed the fun Chuck. I guess watching the Giants beat Dallas was OK.
Hi Dave - my email is still:
b4mski@yahoo.com. Thanks!
Brunch was excellent! I love breakfast!! It was good to see everyone. Should we mark our calendars for Dec. 20th at the Madden's?
We have way too much Halloween candy in my house. It tempts me at every corner...
