It Ain't No Fun...

...when you get chicken pox. Yes, apparently it takes about 12 days for chicken pox to present. Luckily I recognized it within 24 hours of the first outbreak, so the it isn't too bad. That being said, it wasn't part of my training program.

That sucks... or I am guessing it does... I have never had chicken pox... but it doesn't sound like a good time. I can imagine it not being the best for training! =)

Sorry Chuck! I'm glad you caught it early!! I hated having chicken pox when I was a kid! I guess you never had it when you were a kid?

I never had it as a kid. Apparently with adults there is a real possibility for pneumonia, but I didn't get that. The good news is I am no longer contagious, so I can go out in public. I was getting stir-crazy being stuck in one room in my house so that I wasn't breathing around the kids. I will probably go running tonight, I hope.

Good luck with that. I'm going to try to run on the treadmill at lunch today. I'm really not in the mood to work out, though. I'm trying out this new program and it is walking 21 miles a week, doing my pilates' instructor's method (Just b Method) 5 times a week, and following her meal plan. I think I'm going to modify the plan to suit my needs, but we'll see how it works. I like trying new things.

Chuck, that's awful! I heard that chicken pox in adults is horrible and dangerous. Glad to hear you're out of the danger zone. Did you go around with little pink dots of calomine lotion on your face? And I'm guessing you caught it from your babysitter, and the kids didn't? Camille never caught it, even after repeated exposures.

Dave, I'll be there Sunday morning and will probably run the 8K. I'll try to find Bernadette. Best of luck. And listen to everything that Beth said!

Do we have a date on December 20?

Hi all - I put an update on my leg into the previous blog.

I see we will also be cheering for Michelle at the Philly Marathon.

Shannon - I just saw your email about running, are you registered? Sorry I was so unaware that others had signed up.

Had the LCHS Girls Soccer banquet last night. Lot's of good food and great video summary of the season. It was a very good year. I will publish a picture soon.

I'm not officially registered to run, but have a long run that day (at least according my Disney training plan... hehe) and thought if you wanted a slow pacer... my services were available...
