Cool Run...

It was great seeing Nicole yesterday at the Dash for Democracy 5K... as she blew my doors away!! =) She definitely looks ready for the half marathon in just a couple of weeks. The Run the Bridge 10K was GREAT today... I recommend people run it next year.... the Ben Franklin is fun to run over... I couldn't believe it was 3+miles for just the bridge... the incline on the bridge is no fun, but goes by quick. I also think the fact that there were 3,500+ people on the bridge made it more enjoyable... are people still planning on running the 8K on Nov. 18? Let me know....

I have Eagles tickets for that day and have already taken commitments from clients.

I might try to go down a cheer people on at the beginning of the race.

I was going to do the race on Saturday but it was just a bit too cold for me. ...and I wanted to sleep in.

I'm still on the fence for the 18th. My legs and knees haven't been that great since the half. I might try to make it down there to cheer people on, too, if I don't run the 8K.

The Biggest Loser Challenge is going well. I've stuck to my diet for 5 days in a row so that's a good sign! My group starts working out with the personal trainer today. It makes me tired just thinking about it! Stephanie Stahl of CBS interviewed my team last week but I don't think she's going to air the segment until we see results. (I don't think she wants to do a story on a weight loss challenge unless we actually LOSE weight! I guess they like SUCCESS stories!) Anyway - I'll keep you posted on how it's going!

Hi all. Turned 50 yesterday so entered a new age group when I compete. Body pump and spinning 3 times a week, plan to start swimming soon and I must get back to running. We are thinking about doing the Hammonton tri in April/May with my brother and his friends from the Transit police department. It's Olympic distance so I'm concerned but it might be fun. Hope everyone id doing well.

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY!! I believe that is cause for a celebratory gathering in the near future! =)

Is there a link to the Hammonton tri? Just curious.... the St.Anthony's kickoff was last night... Todd is still Todd... =) Crazy how it wasn't that long ago we had the same looks of 'oh my god' as they did... now we are old pros!

Shannon-Are you participating in TNT for St. Anthony's?

Bernadette-Happy Birthday!

Beth-How is the challenge going

Ms. D-I have the front wheel stablizer for your indoor cycle machine. Next we gather, I will get it to you.

I am sorry that I haven't been keeping up with folks as much as I had been in the past. My work tends to cycle a bit and we have been pushing alot in the past 6 weeks or so trying to resolve so things before the end of the year.

For St.A's, I am a non-fundraising mentor... I am planning on doing the tri as well... going to register when it opens on Dec. 1st.... =)

Hi all. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Don't have the Hammonton link but as soon as I get it I will pass it on. Is anyone doing the Philly tri sprint distance? Besides She Rox and Philly womens are there any other triathlons people are considering? Hope to see you all soon. Keep on training.

Happy birthday Bernadette! We definitely need to celebrate. My birthday was on the 2nd so there's even more reason to grab a drink!

Chuck - I'll take that stabilizer thing for the bike trainer. It's mine now. :) I bought it off of Ms. D. She rocks! You don't have the quick release pin for the back tire, too, do you?

The Challenge is going well! There are 35 teams so my team is going to have to be committed to sticking with it for the next 8.5 weeks...which I believe we are. I lost 3 pounds the first week. My other teammate lost 4 pounds. And the third stayed the same. Apparently they are going to make it based on POUNDS, not percentage of weight loss!!! [Don't they watch the Biggest Loser???] So my team is at a disadvantage. I want to lose 10% of my body weight but that doesn't add up to much in pounds when you consider there are some really heavy people who are doing this challenge. 5 pounds might be nothing to them where that might take me two months to lose that much (and that's all the time we have left!). So we'll see. So far, so good. Thanks for asking Chuck!

So - as for tri's I plan on doing - I'm definitely doing Philly. I just haven't decided which distance. I'll most likely do both women's. Then Hammonton (the sprint), Marlton Lakes, and Stone Harbor if I can...it sells out fast! SH is the middle of July. The water isn't as warm as you'd think being in the bay. The bike course was either two or three loops on a flat road. (Not as easy as it sounds!) And the run is on the road, not on sand.

I am pretty sure there is a women's tri in New Jersey that Danskin does but I don't know which weekend it is. It might be the middle of September because I know it conflicted with something I was planning on doing. I'm pretty sure it was the distance run... Anyway - I might look into that.

I haven't had a chance to look into the time share yet for Vegas or St. A's, but I will. I think it's going to be one or the other (or neither) for me. I need to save my vacation days for my honeymoon!

What is everyone up to the week after Thanksgiving? Maybe we can all get together that Thursday night...the 29th.

By the way, is anyone going to do the Jingle Bell run in Malvern on Sunday, Dec. 9th. It's $25. Proceeds go to the Arthritis Foundation. I'm pretty sure I'm already signed up.

Happy belated birthdays to all. And good luck to you Beth on the Challenge. 8.5 weeks is tough, especially with the holidays, go you!

The Dash for Democracy was fun and I was psyched that Shannon came out and did it. Yay for TNT alums!

Hi all. It has gotten too cold for me to bike or run but i have been spinning. I am planning on doing the philly tri(sprint) Philly womens, She Rox and the Hammonton tri (sprint), the ACS ride and the MS 150. Have to officially decide on Philly tri now since it looks like it might close out soon. Not sure I am up for any Olympic distances because of the run part but maybe 2009 I will. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Dave has signed up for an 1/2 iron man so training is going to start in earnest really soon. Take care. Happy Birthday Beth, good luck on the new job Deirdre and good training everyone else.
