Happy Halloween

I hope that everyone is in the spirit on Wednesday. I will be out walking with Sleeping Beauty and either a lion, Jasmine or Spiderman (gametime decision). Can someone give me the contact at TNT about the mentoring program? I tried to email someone from the website and got it kicked back.

Have fun on Wednesday... I think you should dress up as well... makes the experience more authentic... and funny for the rest of us!

Shannon-Thanks!

Maggie has suggested that I dress up as a Pirate. I was thinking that I would dress up as the guy that will lug 2 girls in wagon up and down the hills of our neighborhood.

That being said, I am open to suggestions from the peanut gallary..

WOW... I am impressed by the wagon lugging... do you get some cut of the candy because of your labor? Or does it simply go into the 'You Owe Me Big Time' bank that parents keep track off and bring up at very embarrassing times later in life. I like the pirate idea... as long as it involves a large hoop earring and parrot.

Who is registering for the Philly tri? It opens on Thursday

I think that I am going to do the mentoring thing for the Philly Tri. I spoke to Amy about it today. I picked up the Triathlete magazine and there is lots of advertising for tri for next season, including Bermuda and Nevis. There was one in Florida the first week in March, which would give me something to start training now for.

Are you going to fundraise for Philly or be a non-fundraising mentor?

If you aren't fundraising... make sure to register soon... since it will sell out quickly. You should think of doing St.A's at the end of April... you would be in prime shape for Philly in June.

Who all is doing St. Anthony's?

I am hopefully going to do St.A's and Philly... and ideally a half-iron in the fall... with smaller, fun sprints in between. We shall see how that master plan works! =)

Hey kids - I saw Deirdre last night and we were discussing St. A's and the Vegas IronGirl tri. If I could get the time share, we could fit 6-8 people in the suite. It's like a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry...I'm going to look into it. Does anyone know the actual date for St. A's?

I'm probably going to do Philly (Olympic) but not mentor. I'm going to sign up for a bunch of the sprints like Diamond Girl, Hammonton, Marlton Lakes, Stone Harbor... And if my knees feel OK, then I am thinking of a half ironman either next December or in 2009.

One last thing: I'm participating is a Biggest Loser challenge at my gym. Teams are of 3 people. 10 weeks. 2 training sessions a week and 2 meetings with a nutritionist. Whichever team loses the most weight in the next 10 weeks wins 2 free months gym membership, $100 off personal training sessions, and if our team wins out of the 4 gyms participating, then we each get iPod Nanos...and bragging rights. To give me even more incentive to eat better and workout more, Stephanie Stahl from CBS is going to follow my team and put it on the news! So I'm going to need your help! If there are any weekend or weeknight workouts, please let me know! I could use all the help I can get! The challenge starts TODAY!

the date for St. A's is Sunday, April 27... registration opens on Dec 1st and typically sells out in a couple of hours... especially since this year is the 25 Anniversary and they are expecting lots of folks. I think it would be GREAT if a bunch of us could do it and ideally Philly...

Beth... I am looking for a half iron late this season or early next as well... keep me posted with what you find.

I really would love to do the Vegas tri. Here's hoping!! Good luck with your competition... I will let you know about workouts!

1) 5K on Saturday in Philly
2) 10K on Sunday....

I am doing both!! It would be more fun with friends!!

Beth said...

What is the 5K this Saturday? I have a football playoff game at 11 but if it's early enough, I could do it. Where and when?

Hi al, We were talking about the events we want to do next year also. My brother and some of his friends are doing Hammonton so we think we are too. I want to sign up for Philly tri (sprint), Philly womens tri and she rox. The Vegas tri sosunds great and it close to our aniversary but we can only afford so many events. Beth how soon would you need to know if we wanted to time share with you? Good luck with the Biggest loser. You can do it. Chuck if you were a pirate then please share some pictures. Did the girls have fun?

Beth... where is the timeshare?

Anyone sign up for Philly yet?

Correct Shannon! Mentor lead at TNT Amy Rivera 610 521 8274 x 228
From my meeting notes - April 22 - St Anthony's, also TNT training over laps. I think St A's will fill up so we need to commit FAST!

(Halloween - I went to my Villanova class with a red wig on - quite fetching, and also met Beth out for a drink, she tollerated me in my alter ego state.

I most likely will do TNT for Phila Tri. But what is this "last chance to sign up" email from the Phila Tri Committee?? Anyone else get that??

BTW - Walk for ALS is Nov 10.

Any interest??

Chuck, wagons are allowed ;-))

That last reminder is for PRE-registration for the Philly Tri. No worries...

The time share is anywhere - there just needs to be an availability. I'm checking on that weekend for St. A's and the Vegas Weekend.
