Happy tidings for the 1st week of October

Congratulations to Beth on her engagement. Eric had mentioned at the Marlton Lakes Tri that he had gotten you a ring and was thinking of proposing during your vacation.

Congratulations to those that participated in the MS150 this weekend. I look forward to hearing how the ride went and hope that everyone made it there and back.

I am sorry that I did not follow up on Saturday's ride/run. It has been a bit busy with work and the girls birthday that I have lost track of my exercise routine. The hard part of getting together during the week has been the declining sunlight. Meeting this time of year at 6:45 or 7pm means running in the dark. I know that most of you are getting out there closer to your homebase so if anything, please keep us informed as to what you are doing. I know for myself seeing that you all are still motivated keeps me in the game too. If someone else has suggestions as to how/where/when we can meet, please post it.

I am supposed to run in the Conshy 5k on Saturday morning. I don't know who all is going to participate, but I hope to see most of you then. I am heading to the Poconos for some much needed R&R the following weekend.

As requested, please note the more positive post title for this week...

Congratulations Beth! Can't wait to hear the engagement story.

And Shannon, do you have something for us to do every weekend until Thanksgiving? SOUNDS GREAT!

Have not worked out since LBI, but am still on a diet and feeling cranky myself (chicken or the egg, I know).

The MS150 was really fun and couldn't have had better weather!!

I was in OC by 12 noon on Saturday, only did the 75, drank high carb beers until midnight and actually got "swept" out of the breakfast hall Sunday morning with my 'oh so late' Wyeth Wheeler friends. The ride back was slower than the ride down (slight head wind, at least that's the excuse).
For those who think about doing the ride - plan to leave your home so that you arrive at the exit ramp off of Rt 295 before 5:30am. For me, that was 4:45am (yes, ouch).

On Chuck's note: The amount of daylight is depleting my drive! Luckily I'm off to the spa in FL in one week for 6 days to get back on my workouts & healthy eating.

We do need to pick back up with the workout schedule! Short of that, we may need to post updates of distances we're doing independently, run/swim/bike stories group sports / events and maintain our Saturday workouts!

November 4th Sunday is the end of Daylight Savings!!

Hey all, How is everyone doing? Had a fall last week so training is on hold till I heal some more. How was the chonshy run? Got to breakfast late last Saturday and imagine my surprise when I ran into Deidre as she was getting ready to leave. Small world. Want to get another ride in this year before it gets too cold so any suggestions would be great. Have a good week.
