Hey gang - time for a new post. What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm off to Pittsburgh for the weekend. Hopefully I'll catch the tail end of the Steelers/Eagles match up tonight.
I'm probably out for any group runs or training next week but then I should be back the week after for Tues/Thurs bike/runs. I've got Wildwood on 8/23 and Marlton on 8/30 and then I'm done.
Good luck if anyone has a race this weekend!

No big plans for the weekend... worked on comps questions yesterday, played soccer and swam... today was my long run...14miles. Sad to say, but the low key weekend was kinda nice... how was the trip to Pittsburgh? Maddens... beach report! Michealle... road trip details... and Chuck... anything you would like to share... =)
We're back!! Enjoyed our wonderful week down the shore. Had 10 minutes of rain on Thursday and that was it I relaxed alot more then Dave who did long bike rides who rode between 50 - 75 miles most of his rides I did a 20 mile and and a 15 mile, ran/walked some and read alot. Dave was an exercise fiend. Getting ready for Timbermen this weekend Dave is doing the Half Ironman. The finishers prize for She Rox were three bracelets. One had a She Rox charm (Philadelphia was on the back) a few hearts wnd some other beads The other two bracelts had odd shaped beads with designs on them. Not sure if the designs mean anything but all three are pretty. My overall time was 2;29:23 8 minutes 31 seconds faster then last year. Shelly thanks for being there it's great to see a friend coming out of the water. I checked out my pictures and have to say this was the first time I ever saw a coming out of the water picture that I liked. Not sure I will do She Rox again next year because of the cost and only got a regular T shirt and no other good stuff. Last year got the tech shirt and the great water bottle but not this year. Lots of women in the event which was great. Felt good to be going out on the bike and there were still women waiting to get into the water.
I love the sound of the ocean and mis it already.
Have a great week everyone.
Hi Tri-buddies - Back from vacation where as Bernadette stated I trained hard for Timberman but ate too much, a pound of chocolate fudge and other tasty food on the boardwalk. The long bike ride on Friday was from Ocean City to Cape May lighthouse and back (73 miles). Now I will start to taper.
Shannon - very cool event you had last week, well done!
Chuck - I enjoyed the swim start video alot, it is sooo real.
Tomorrow starts high school sports tryouts, so for the next twelve weeks I will be much involved with the Lansdale Catholic HS girls soccer team. The team will quickly get into shape with long runs because I need to prepare for the Philly Distance Run and Philly Marathon. I will start counting jumping jacks.
Signed up for Wildwood today too. I figure that is a good kickoff for my vacation!
Awesome! I just looked at my calendar and I can't do Tues/Thurs this week or next. Is Mon or Wed an option for next week?
Next week I have a meeting in NYC on Monday and heading to Toronto on Wednesday/Thursday.
FYI-Madison, WI is flat. Surprisingly flat. Tomorrow morning it is supposed to be 57 degrees. It is August, isn't it?
Where is everyone? It has been SO quiet on here!!
I think Shannon must still be running...
Bernadette is off dreaming about the beach...
and Dave doesn't have wifi install on his bike...yet.
Hi budies, Here we are in NH at Timbermen. It turns out I have joined my sister-in-law as the biker on her relay team, She was only going to do the swim ans the run so I asked if I could do the bike. Think I might regret this since it is pretty hilly but I will have fresh legs so.... I plan to catch up with her on the run since she plans to walk the whole way. Got a neat long sleeve tech shirt and a pink TYR bag and some other goodies. Never been part of a relay so it could be fun. Besides Dave and my sister-in-law Maegie my brother-in-laws Kevin and Ed, my nephew Dan, my niece Kelly and her boyfriend John, my sister-in-laws sister-in-law Eileen and her husband Rich and Margie & Ed's best friend Ed are either doing the srpint or the 1/2 iron so this is a real family affair. Wish us luck. WIll blog tomorrow and let you know how things went.
Hi Tribuddies from NH. We had a practice swim tonight in Lake Winnapisauke???, the lake was very clear to the bottom, beautiful. Bernadette is biking for her relay team in tomorrows sprint. I will be doing the half ironman on Sunday. Hope you are all doing well, and I promise to blog more when bikeWIFI goes active. Only 1 incident for jumping jacks through the first week.
After the HORRIBLE work week I had... I would still be doing jumping jacks. Just got back from my 16mile run. FUN! I suffer from boredom while running... I need to find ways to entertain myself! =) Got a text that Bernadette had a good bike leg today... AWESOME!! Hope the half-iron goes well!! I am working NE Maryland triathlon tomorrow for CGI... have the option to race, but don't think my legs will be up for it... Looking forward to hearing details from NH
Hey B - I'm glad you had a good bike leg! I'm looking forward to hearing all the details...you guys should start a new post!
My shower was this weekend and it was great! My mom fixed my bustle and my sister helped out with the favors. And my dad put in my new screen door! It's already lasting longer than the last one...which only made it 8 hours before an 8 year old rammed into it and bent it. This one is two days old and going strong!
Chuck - happy travels this week! I'll see you in Wildwood for the tri this Saturday!
Shannon - good luck with your long runs. Hopefully you can find a way to not be too bored!!
Hi Friends!! =)
Hope all is well... I miss everyone!! We need a get together soon!!!!
Isn't Marlton Lakes on everyone's calendar?
