I don't know about you all, but I can't believe that we are already 4 weeks into training. What a crazy month it has been. After a really long week in NYC, I am heading the opposite direction with a trip on Tuesday to Jackson, MS. As a result of the tornadoes that ran through the south a couple of weeks ago, I have the pleasure to head into the carnage to a sneaker company for an inventory loss calculation. If you give me your shoe size, I will pick through the mess and see if I can find something, but doubt that they will be the same model for the left and right foot.
I took my bike to the shop and got new tires and a tune up. The tires are much thinner than the grandma's that I had on there before, so hopeful I will be able to keep up with the Mr. Madden. I am sure that I will come up with a different excuse if I can't.
Sorry to miss everyone at the pool on Saturday. I took one of my clients to the Villanova vs. UConn basketball game. I will be back at the pool this week. I look at the weather for this week and it looks like it will be pretty cold on Thursday (high 31). I don't think that a buddy run is worth scheduling, but put it out there for all to discuss. the following week looks like temps will climb into the upper 40's to low 50's. If we want to schedule one for next Thursday, I suggest that we put together a flyer with the map (no comment necessary Shannon) to hand out at the pool. When we agree to the date/time/location, let me know and I will print it up here in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office.

Have a fun week in the South! =) I agree it probably isn't warm enough to entice folks out to run on Thursday... but am willing if folks want to run.
Remember practice this week is Sunday ... bike ride... no swim... but I like the map idea! =)
PS: I am planning to do a quick run after our bike on Sunday... wouldn't it be fun if others joined me?!?!
Thanks for the heads up about this weekend's schedule. I hadn't looked that far forward.
Where are we meeting for the bike on Sunday?
Looks like Oaks for the bike ride.
Did you guys miss me?? Eric and I enjoyed the cruise. It was too short!!
I just had jury duty today, too. I didn't get picked though. I thought it might be nice to get out of work for 4 or 5 days but my number was 42 and I don't think they made it out of the 20's before the jury was picked.
Looks like I might be needing a podiatrist, too. We'll see how my toenail grows back in...hopefully there won't be any problems. Did I tell you guys how I got stepped on at football in OCTOBER and my toenail JUST fell off? Yep. Gross huh?
My second sports massage was worse than the first so I'm going to go ice my leg! Who will I be seeing on Sunday for the bike ride? I don't think I'm going to the whole way to Conshy until my leg is better but I'll ride for a little while - just no run afterwards either. I'll be swimming a lot...at least for a while.
Can someone tell me the URL for the website to track your offline donations?
Bernadette (unofficially) and I will be at the bike ride on Sunday, meeting at lower perkiomen park. Is the bridge still out? We hope to run after the bike, short distance. I will be getting casted for orthotics on Tuesday to help my neuroma.
I am biking and running... yeah! =)
What website do you mean Dave? Paycor?
I thought the website was active.com but I can't find what I need. I want to edit my donation website with a picture and add some check donations.

I have officially marked Mississippi off my "Potential Places to Live" list. I don't have nearly enough cammo, trucker hats, undefined facial hair or beer gut to blend with the locals. Not only that-apparently I talk funny. Having spent the last three weeks on the road, I am looking forward to spending time in the great state of Pennsylvania. All this travel has wreaked havoc on my training schedule. Long days of meetings and lots of trains, planes and automobiles haven't helped.
I am planning on being there Sunday. I broke down and bought a pair of padded long spandex pants. I was going to bring the girls with me but it will be too cold. Maybe later in the season.
I think that the bridge is repaired and the path is open in that area. Also, I have seen them doing work on the part of the path that branches off and runs past the IKEA and into Plymouth Meeting. I am guessing that when the weather is warmer they will start to lay the blacktop for the path. I would think that meeting at Plymouth Commons shopping center would be easier as a meeting place than the Oaks location when the path is completed.
Where is Plymouth Commons?
The big box shopping center where the Target and Lowes are. The trail runs along in front of of that shopping center and goes past the Ikea and eventually links up to the SR trail just north of Conshy. I have watched them build the trails and bridges along Chemical Road towards Germantown Pike and have been told that it will continue going somewhere in that direction. I am sure there is a map available...
Very cool. We call the Metroplex with Target and Lowes the black hole. We go in with money but never come out with any!
How was the bike ride? I was cold just being out there for 15 minutes!! I hope none of you have any frost bite!
