Timberman and timberwoman

Timberman was a great experience. Beautiful country. It was a well run sports event except for the food tent on Sunday. It was a very small tent with only one way in, thus causing the line to become very long so we didn't want to wait for food. Dave bought a great bike jersey and our tee shirt was a long sleeve tech shirt that is really nice Bike course was hilly but I conguered it and was real proud of myself. First race I was ever in were there was a "no passing zone" on the bike course. There were a few narrow areas on the road were you were not allowed to pass. We are not doing Marlton Lakes this year but Dave is doing Livestrong this weekend, we are doing the MS 150 and some running event in November. Looks like our triathlon season has come to an end for this year. Can't believe summer is coming to an end so quick.
Beth, did you get lots of good stuff at your shower?
Shannon, Miss you too.
Shelly, How is the job hunting going.
Chuck, Good luck in Wildwood and have a great vacation.
For those of you who were signed up for the Annapolis tri are you still doing it since they made it a run, swim, run?
Hopefully we can get together soon

D&B, congratulations to both of you! I'm so proud that you both participated. I think it's great that it was a family affair! I keep trying to get Eric to do a tri but he needs a bike first.

Shannon - great idea...we do need a get together soon!

My shower was great. Eric's sister's house was full. I got FOUR decanters and a couple sets of wine glasses so now I know my friends all think I'm a lush!

I have only been in the pool once or twice since my last tri so N Wildwood will be interesting for me this weekend! I'm going to try to get into the pool tonight after our dance lesson and then again tomorrow during my lunch hour.

Chuck - if you are coming down solo on Friday night, Fran said you can stay in her shore house with us. If you have the kids, then that won't be a good idea. Let me know...either email or text me.

Where is Michaelle? She's dropped off the face of the blogger earth! I hope the job search is going well!!

I've been lurking - checking out the blog whenever I need "contact" with the tri-buddies. Until Marlton, that is.

I AM impressed with the Timberpersons - still want Dave's race report. Congrats Bernadette on the ride.

Beth, maybe you got the decanters and wine glasses because people have so much fun at your house and want you to entertain more!

Went to Chicago 2 weeks ago for a family memorial service. Drove back with a 16' truck full of the things I'd left in storage 4 years ago. Woo hoo, found the iron! and my bedroom clock! and all the VCR tapes... Anyway, missed some workouts and haven't gotten back into it yet. Ran/walked 3 miles earlier this week and whined the whole way!

I'll volunteer my house for a get together or any sort. Especially card games.

This was in the signature of an adventure racing person, and I like it:

'Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- 'WOW, what a ride!!!'
