OK - it was time for a new post. We can put what we're doing this weekend. I'll be at practice (bike then run) and then I'm heading over to Cherry Hill to get my bike tuned up. I have nothing planned for Sunday yet, but I'm not going to the bike race. I think I'm going to go for a run and then swim at my gym.

Good run last night, Chuck! I think I'm going to run around my neighborhood on Sunday. It's a little under three miles but it's hilly so I'll get a good workout. Then I'll swim at the gym. I went this morning and it was heaven! I was the only one in the whole pool! Of course, I got up late so I swam for only 15 minutes, but it's better than nothing...right? Right! I'm working on breathing every 5 strokes so I'll have a better race at every three.
Let's focus on intervals/speed training this week for the run. Sound good?
p.s. I'm going to buy a few magnets from baysix and the price includes shipping...so if you want them you can buy them yourselves...no need to split shipping.
p.p.s. A note on the body stick. Be careful to not overuse it! My massage therapist says that she sees a lot of MEN who use it too much and wind up injuring areas that weren't injured before. It feels good when you're using it but it has no give...so you might be damaging tissue that is OK to begin with. So try to focus on areas that need attention and don't use too much pressure or you can do more damage than good!
I thought of you guys running last night while swimming... for some reason it is much easier to chat while running than swimming! =)
I will be at practice on Saturday and supposed to do a long run too for my marathon plan... my plan as of now is to ride and have my post ride run be my long run... run the loop which is close to 8.5
Hopefully will be up early enough on Sunday to ride Kelly Dr. before the bike race... watch the race after that... we shall see!!
I am going to swim/run today and be at the bike/run on Saturday (9am). I was thinking about running early on Sunday morning before it gets to hot. Sorry guys-no bike race for us. I am not taking the girls down there with the heat they are calling for. I am pretty sure that after about a half-hour they will be miserable and revolt on me. Assuming that the river will be back to normal (it was high from Wednesday's rain), we will probably be at the Perk Sunday to cool off in the afternoon. If you want to join us there, please let me know. I haven't run this past management yet, but I will plan on cooking out there for dinner.
A Sunday swim in the Perk post bike race sounds lovely... keep us posted if it's possible...
Is Chuck the only person working out today? I need inspiration.
Tomorrow I'm meeting Shannon at 6:30 for a grueling 8.5 mile run. Then the biking. Sunday another bike ride before the race. The cool VIP tickets to the race include visiting the privately catered VIP hospitality area, so that will be the highlight of my day.
I supposed I should swim again today. And maybe bike. Sigh.
Chuck, did you mean that your girls would revolt on you or regurgitate on you?

Keep me posted about Sunday, too. I'd much rather swim in the perk than in the pool at the gym! Maybe I'll meet you girls for the run tomorrow. Where are you meeting? 6:30 AM?
I already swam today, did a little weights, and ran for 2 MINUTES on the treadmill before I couldn't take it anymore! How's that for working out today? I'll try to get a run in later unless I meet you both tomorrow...
We are planning to meet at 6:30 (Memorial Hall) to run the loop... that way we will be finished early enough to relax for a couple before the bike ride. I was planning on doing this run post ride, but the crappy heat seems not so fun... even less fun than getting up early. The long run is part of my marathon training plan... I am supposed to run it slow to build endurance... FYI... in case you want to run really fast!! =) Let us know if you want to join... otherwise see folks at 9am.
