Just thinking that December 19th was too long ago to be the current post.
Vacation in Chicago great, except for intruding work (kill your blackberry). Worked out at my friend's gym, a fabulous place. Still managed to gain 2 pounds, though. It must be the cold I'm feeding.
Tomorrow night at the Boathouse. Flanigan's Boathouse at 113 Fayette Street in Conshohocken? 6 pm.

That's the place! See you all there!
Did everyone send in their BIO's? I am a slacker. I didn't send mine in. I'm having a moral dilemma... Eric is worried about the time commitment and he thinks that I already spread myself too thin and that this is going to be more than I can handle. I'm not sure if I should mentor. Shannon - can you tell me what it's been like so far for you?
So far the time commitment hasn't been horrible. I was also worried about being spread to thin after signing up for mentoring St.A's, but have been pleasantly surprised. In the beginning, the biggest time commitment is going to the sign-up meetings, but there are only a couple of those and the kick-off. Now the biggest commitment are team trainings (including buddy runs), but I look at that time as something I would do anyway (or should do at the very least since I have signed up for races)... team trainings kinda keep me honest. The time during the week is minimal... I send emails or call each week (this doesn't take a long time...) and the bi-weekly tracking sheets take maybe 30minutes.
So like I said earlier, I have been pleasantly surprised that time hasn't been bad and the experience has been really fun... breaks up the training alone! I guess these are the main reasons I signed up to mentor Philly... (plus hanging with you cool people!). Mentoring has fit in with all my other craziness... I think that if you are planning on training for Philly and want to mentor... finding the time needed for it shouldn't be that hard... assuming things run the same for Philly as St.A's.
Hope that helps... we can talk more Thursday night! =)
I did my bio yesterday with help from Shannon (Thanks again). I asked Amy to give me an example of what they wanted and then wrote it out at lunch. Do you want to see it?
See you all tonight
